Apply now: FIBO INNOVATION & TREND AWARD presents products at Virtual Gym for the first time

Don’t just watch, experience the action live: the nominees and winners of the FIBO INNOVATION & TREND AWARD can look forward to being staged in a very special setting at the trade show. Using virtual reality, their products will become tangible in a studio environment right at the show. That puts the award winners even more clearly into the spotlight for the approximately 145,000 visitors who attend FIBO every year primarily to see innovations and new products. FIBO is now again looking for the products of tomorrow, and, with two new categories covering healthy nutrition and sustainability, the show has its finger on the pulse of time.

If you’re there, you’ll be found. Before the show even starts, all the nominees will be promoted across FIBO’s media, from the newsletter to the show guide. The award ceremony also promises a high degree of attention, because there simply is no better audience: the winners will be announced at the European Health & Fitness Forum (EHFF). Some 600 top representatives and media outlets of the international fitness industry will come to this leading congress on the day before the start of FIBO 2020.

New: Product presentation at the Virtual Gym 

If you’re looking for innovations, you should stop by the newly designed Future Hall 5.1 at FIBO 2020. The focus here will be on new products, startups and the themes of the future. Right in the middle of all that you’ll find the nominees and winners of the FIBO INNOVATION & TREND AWARD, who in 2020 will for the first time be able to present their products to visitors in the form of 3D renderings at the Virtual Gym. It’s a perfect simulation of the way the product is used, allowing visitors to experience it in a real-world environment.

The finger on the pulse of time 

Each year, the FIBO INNOVATION & TREND AWARD leads the way in the fitness industry, thus contributing to the continuing development of the sector. All the while, it is evolving constantly itself. This is true again next year, with two newly added categories that are sure to capture the zeitgeist. For the first time, FIBO is looking for a winner in the field of Healthy Nutrition, which by now has become a multi-billion-euro market and an indispensable segment at the trade show. In this way, the award helps to provide orientation in what has become a huge selection of fitness foods. Another new addition is the Ecology & Sustainability category, which covers a topic that’s increasingly becoming a focus in the fitness industry, too.
With the categories Digital Fitness, Health & Prevention, Lifestyle, Life Balance & Wellness, Performance and Startup, FIBO will reflect several other key trending market themes.

Once again in 2020, the quality of the submissions will be judged by an international jury of experts. On it, among others, are Prof. Dr. Ingo Froböse, university professor of prevention and rehabilitation at the German Sport University Cologne; Dr. Niels Nagel, office manager of the DIFG; and Prof. Dr. Thomas Rieger, professor of sports management at the University of Applied Sciences Europe.
