In a bid to keep pace with growing interest in eGym’s connected training solution across the UK, the German based company has grown its team on Concept Consultants and has announced the appointment of a new marketing manager.

Tanya Hall joins eGym as Marketing Manager fresh from her role as Fit&Well Brand Manager at Broxbourne Council, based across the Laura Trott Leisure Centre, The John Warner Sports Centre and The Cheshunt Park Golf Centre in Broxbourne.

“In 2017, The Laura Trott Leisure Centre installed an eGym strength circuit to encourage a higher percentage of the local population to lead an active lifestyle which included an element of resistance training”, explains Hall. “As a result, I was privy to the success of the investment from a customer engagement perspective. I became incredibly passionate about eGym and when an opportunity to join the team presented itself, I jumped at it.

Tanya joined Broxbourne in 2012 and, prior to her role as Brand Manager, Tanya fulfilled several central leisure roles for Broxbourne Council, including Sales Manager, Swim School Operations Manager and Golf Sales Manager.

Speaking of the appointment, Kerstin Obenauer, Country Director at eGym, says: Tanya’s operational experience in the leisure sector and her first-hand experience of eGym makes her the perfect candidate for this role.”

Joining Tanya are four new Concept Consultants, each responsible for driving growth and supporting operator partners within their defined geographical territories.

Mark Webster, Concept Consultant, UK North, Including Ireland and Scotland

For the last decade, Mark has been working for the NHS. In his most recent role as a Public Health Specialist, Mark was responsible for the design and implementation of a district wide initiative, Living Well, which launched last month, to introduce interventions which address unhealthy lifestyle issues such as smoking, drugs and alcohol, physical inactivity, mental health, long term health conditions and poor nutrition.

Mark’s experience in the health sector, coupled with his Msc in Public Health and Health Promotion,

will be invaluable as eGym  continues to provide effective solutions which enable physical activity professionals to work more closely with health professionals to deliver a prevention rather than care health care strategy.

Darren Frost, Concept Consultant, London and South

Prior to his appointment, Darren worked with Precor for 8 years, first as a regional sales consultant and more recently as public sector strategic account manager, looking after clients which included Parkwood Leisure and Places Leisure.

It was during this role that Darren was first introduced to eGym. Precor enjoys an integration with eGym and through the partnership Darren became increasingly interested in eGym’s focus on providing solutions to address nationwide health issues – developing products and services which help individuals to live life to the full through the maintenance of mobility and strength long into their later years.

Mark Mansfield, Concept Consultant, East of England

Mark joins eGym from Premier Global NASM where he was a tutor for more than 10 years. During this time, he supported hundreds of people as they studied for their personal training qualifications and also wrote and developed a number of CPD courses.

With a degree in Sports Science and a first-hand experience of playing rugby to a professional level, Mark brings a wealth of fitness and performance experience to the team.

James Else, Concept Consultant, Midlands and South Wales

James brings with him a wealth of commercial sales and management experience. Following more than 5  years as Commercial Sales Manager at Birmingham City Football Club, James joined the NEC Group as Head of Sponsorship , responsible for driving commercial partnership engagement at the NEC, the Genting Arena, Arena Birmingham, the ICC and the Vox.

Kerstin Obenauer,  adds: “These new appointments, working in partnership with our growing operator network, stand us in excellent stead to deliver our concept to new communities across the UK.

“eGym offers a solution which enables operators to work much more closely with health care professionals to deliver the government’s new prevention rather than cure health care strategy. Our technology makes physical activity accessible and effective for all and we now have the resource to really grow our influence. Exciting times ahead.”
