EuropeActive to focus on Health, Digital, Community and Standards for its 2020 Active Autumn
Following the consultation process involving main stakeholders of the fitness and physical activity sector, we outlined our overall priorities and corresponding work programme in our Strategy Paper for 2020-2021 under which we deliver information and assistance for effectively operating through COVID-19, reopening, and helping the sector adapt to post-C19 realities: Health, Digital, Community and Standards.
EHFF 2020 to be hosted as a hybrid eventDue to the current health situation around the world, the European Health & Fitness Forum will be held as a hybrid event on 30th September. The event will offer a full one-day online programme including speaker sessions, several interactive presentations, a panel session, live Q&A’s and a few suprises.
EuropeActive to launch podcasts in September
After the success of our webinar programme, we will be launching a series of podcasts with new episodes once every two weeks with the aim of delivering new original content for members, stakeholders and supporters.

EuropeActive publishes the first article of its THINK Active projectTHINK Active is the new research think tank of EuropeActive, a unique project to provide scientific evidence and promote best practices for the fitness and physical activity sector across Europe and beyond. ‘The positive impact of physical activity and exercise on immune function; the critical prevention and recovery tool to fight a second wave of COVID-19’ is the first article of the THINK Active project to be published.

Anna Bogdanova joins the Professional Standards Committee (PSC)EREPS Ambassador Anna Bogdanova has joined the EuropeActive’s Professional Standards Committee (PSC) replacing Alexis Batrakoulis as Deputy Director. The PSC mission is to develop educational standards for the occupations of the European health and fitness sector, providing the credibility and recognition of this sector by ensuring high, comparable and standardised levels of education.EuropeActive wants to sincerely thank Alexis for his service, support and dedication for the past several years.

EFAF Roundtable to be hosted in SeptemberEuropeActive is very much looking forward to welcoming our national fitness associations partners to the 9th EFAF Roundtable to be held on Tuesday, September 8th. The EFAFRoundtable is the perfect platform for national associations to exchange the latest information, coordinate actions and the messaging for our sector.

Projects & Programmes
The European Week of Sport 2020 – Get involved!As one of the main partners of the European Week of Sport, we encourage everyone to participate in the Week’s activities as it is a unique opportunity to be active across Europe and beyond.Our main contribution this year will be accomplished through our EU-funded project National Fitness Days for Europe. The project will allow our National Fitness Association members to organise fitness events in several European countries with the goal of building up a long-term commitment for future campaigns.
