World’s biggest fitness trade show FIBO makes fitness an experience

Those wanting to get fit visit FIBO. Those who are fit go there anyway. FIBO, the World’s Biggest Trade Show for Fitness, Wellness and Health is many things at the same time: the place to be for trendsetters, a competition arena, a fitness club, a meeting point for influencers, and a shopping paradise. From 4 to 7 April 2019 over 1,100 exhibitors from Europe and overseas will be showcasing innovations, and on the weekend visitors from the general public can also gain an exclusive insight into the fitness world.

FIBO offers general public visitors an extensive line-up of ranges for all generations and fitness types. The focus is on working out more effectively, more varied training, having fun and promoting one’s health. Tips from professional athletes and influencers in this community are just as indispensable for this as is the lecture programme revolving around fitness, health and nutrition.

Focus on competition, digital fitness, cross fit and nutrition

Pushing your own limits, sharing successes – all of these factors underly the competition trend that makes people working out all over the world compete with each other in online challenges and boosts interest in fitness competitions. FIBO shows all facets of competition. Proving crowd pullers once again will be the “body artists” dedicated to calisthenics. The Team Alpha Bar stand will host calisthenics shows and competitions as well as street workout demonstrations. The 1vs1 Freestyle Battles held on Saturday will focus on the “Freestyle Barhero and Barheroine of FIBO 2019” titles. Additionally, there will be a Weighted Competition. FIBO visitors will be treated to a Big Calisthenics Area with open bars for everyone as well as free daily workshops.

Functional and cross-fit training are “perennial topics” at FIBO but yoga and group fitness also continue to be on trend. Two stages will present the latest work-outs and invite visitors to join in. The Yoga Area in Hall 4.1 will feature an extensive yoga programme on Sunday.

Fitness food and healthy nutrition ranges are getting bigger and bigger. And FIBO features the latest trends in nutritional supplements and nutrition – ranging from sports beverages and diet nutrition through to vegan foods and all types of organic products. In Hall 4.2 visitors will not only be able to see the latest products but also taste them too. The Shopping Mall will offer a cash and carry option for visitors’ favourites. An extensive range of supplements comes care of the exhibitors in the POWER halls. Here in Hall 10.1 visitors will also find the Cooking Area where chefs and celebrities will prepare dishes, share latest diet trends and reveal their special tips and tricks. Themes here include Clean Eating, Low Carb Diets and Vegan and Superfoods. 2019 will see the Chefkoch magazine partner FIBO for the first time.

FIBO makes shoppers’ heart race

Not only fitness foods and supplements but also fitness wear and all types of accessories end up in FIBO visitors’ bags every year. In the Shopping Hall 4.2 the latest collections and bargains from top-class brands such as Under Armour, Adidas, Reebok, Gymcodes, Morotai, Freddy, Gavelo, Anarchy Apparel, Yvette Sports, Aim’n and Six Deuce clothing will be available for purchase. Models will also stage the newest fitness fashion on a large catwalk.

New: FIBO CAMPUS

FIBO CAMPUS is the fitness congress held in parallel with FIBO which will also be open to visitors from the general public on Saturday. Visitors are in for a whole host of group fitness sessions from Pilates Flow, functional 3D back training and fascia training through to Functional Fit and Physio Gym. Water comes into play with Aqua Pole, Aqua Latin Dance or Aqua Jump HIIT in Hall 4.1. Those seeking expert advice on nutrition and diet will get their money’s worth at the numerous lectures held in Congress-Centrum Nord. The agenda features nutritional tips for performance enhancement, personal diet planning and vegan nutrition.

Cross-fit must-see: the FIBO SHOWDOWN

30 teams will compete in the ultimate FIBO SHOWDOWN. While the competitions on Thursday and Friday focus on weightlifting, the FIBO weekend will be dedicated to the “Best of the Best”. Competing in this challenge by invitation only will be top-class cross-fit athletes – the best men and women from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Top event: Zumba ZIN Academy

The Zumba ZIN Academy will give you the unique opportunity to train with ZUMBA founder Beto Perez. Also present will be Michelle Lewin, the fitness model, influencer and ZUMBA instructor with over 13 million followers on Instagram. The strongest men in the world
